Description

Jane Smith and her English Springer Spaniel dog, Murphy, began visiting the emergency room at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in 2015. Murphy is the first St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog to visit an ER in all of Canada. Since then, other hospitals have invited therapy dogs to visit patients. The RUH ER visits by Murphy and his handler, Jane, are enjoyed so much by hospital patients that Mondays have become known in the emergency room as “Murphy Mondays”.
